Creating Products

This guide covers how to add new products to your Mozhe store, including setting up basic information, pricing, and uploading images.

Prerequisites

Before creating products, make sure you have:

• Access to your site's dashboard
• Product images ready (JPEG or PNG format recommended)
• Basic product information (name, description, price)

Product Types

Mozhe supports three types of products:

• Physical - Tangible goods that require shipping. These require dimensions (weight, width, height, length) for shipping calculations.
• Digital - Downloadable products or digital services. No shipping required.
• Service - Services you provide. No shipping or inventory tracking.

Creating a New Product

To create a new product:

1. Navigate to Products in the sidebar
2. Click the Add Product button
3. Fill in the required information
4. Click Save to publish

Basic Information

Every product needs the following basic details:

Product Title Enter a clear, descriptive name for your product. This appears on the storefront and in search results.

Handle (URL Slug) The handle is the URL-friendly version of your product name. It must be:

• Lowercase letters and numbers only
• Words separated by hyphens
• Unique within your site

For example, a product titled "Blue Cotton T-Shirt" would have a handle like blue-cotton-t-shirt.

Tip: Handles are automatically generated from the title, but you can customize them for better SEO.

Description Provide a detailed description of your product. Include:

• Key features and benefits
• Materials or ingredients
• Care instructions
• Sizing information

The description supports rich text formatting including bold, italics, lists, and links.

Setting the Price

Pricing is configured at the variant level. Every product must have at least one variant.

1. Scroll to the Variants section
2. Enter the Price for your product
3. Optionally, enter a Discounted Price to show a sale price
4. Set the Stock quantity available

Note: If your discounted price is set, customers will see the original price crossed out with the discounted price highlighted.

Product Dimensions (Physical Products)

For physical products, you must provide shipping dimensions:

These dimensions are used to calculate shipping costs with courier integrations.

Uploading Images

Product images are critical for conversions. Mozhe stores images securely on Cloudflare for fast, global delivery.

Adding Images

1. Scroll to the Media section
2. Click Upload or drag and drop image files
3. Wait for the upload to complete
4. Reorder images by dragging them into position

The first image in the list becomes your product's primary image and appears in listings.

Image Best Practices

• Format: Use JPEG for photos, PNG for graphics with transparency
• Size: Images are automatically optimized, but upload high-quality originals (at least 1000x1000 pixels)
• Consistency: Use the same aspect ratio across all products for a clean storefront
• Multiple angles: Show your product from different perspectives
• White background: Product photos on white backgrounds typically convert better

Video Support

You can also upload product videos:

1. Click Upload and select a video file
2. Videos are processed by Cloudflare Stream for optimal delivery
3. MP4 format is recommended for best compatibility

Product Status

Products can have three statuses:

• Active - Visible on your storefront and available for purchase
• Hidden - Not visible on the main shop page, but accessible via direct URL or filters
• Inactive - Completely hidden from customers

To change a product's status:

1. Open the product
2. Find the Status dropdown
3. Select the desired status
4. Click Save

Bulk Status Updates

To update multiple products at once:

1. Go to the Products list
2. Select the products using the checkboxes
3. Click Bulk Actions
4. Choose Change Status and select the new status

Using AI to Generate Content

Mozhe can generate product content using AI to save you time:

1. Click the Generate with AI button
2. Select what to generate:
   • Product description
   • Benefits and highlights
   • Specifications
   • FAQs
3. Review the generated content
4. Edit as needed and save

The AI uses your product title, category, and attributes to create relevant content.

Saving Your Product

After filling in all required information:

1. Review your entries for accuracy
2. Check that at least one image is uploaded
3. Verify the price and stock are correct
4. Click Save

Your product will be live on your storefront immediately (if status is Active).

Common Issues

"Handle must be lowercase with hyphens only"

Your product handle contains invalid characters. Ensure it only uses:

• Lowercase letters (a-z)
• Numbers (0-9)
• Hyphens between words

"Physical products require dimensions"

When product type is Physical, all four dimensions (weight, width, height, length) are required. Fill in the dimensions or change the product type to Digital or Service.

Images not uploading

If image uploads fail:

• Check your internet connection
• Ensure the file is a valid image format (JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP)
• Try a smaller file size (under 10MB recommended)
• Clear your browser cache and try again
